Youth and Children at Ascension
Youth
Secondary school students meet every Sunday evening at 6pm in the Glow Lounge. Together we are experimenting with different types of worship and engaging with God in ways that feel most comfortable to us. Here’s what we’ll be up to this term:

'The Thing' - Youth Service at Streatham Baptist Church - we will meet at the Glow Lounge but then travel down to Streatham. Usually the first Sunday of the Month.
GROW! The youth small group meets on Thursdays 7-8:30pm at a leader's house.
That Monthly Thing: Once a month we do a large social event together.
Café Rose Garden: Every Thursday you can join us from 11:30-2pm for free cake and hot drinks in the church.
Youth Bus: A double decker bus has been converted into a youth centre and parks on Yukon Rd every Friday night (term time) from 7:30-9pm.

Kids
During our 11am Family Service the children break into small groups after the first set of worship.
We have a crèche for the under 3s which is staffed by very capable and loving volunteers.
Sparklers (3-5yr olds) meet in the hall and learn the basics of faith with material from CharismaLife (click on it for the website: www.charismalife.com).
Illumin8 (the older children) meet in the vicarage and study material that runs alongside the current sermon series that the adults are looking at.
In Lighthouse sessions we aim to lead children into an encounter with God, equip them to share their faith and minister to others, and assist them to live out their faith at home and at school.
ngage is a free arts club for 3-6yr olds that runs each Monday from 3:45-4:30pm. We meet in the church hall and parents are free to either drop their child off or to stay and participate in the session.
ncounter is a monthly worship meeting for children aged 6-11. Please contact becky@ascensionbalhamhill.org.uk for more information.
