During August, the regular life of Ascension takes a well-earned breather—a 'sabbatical' from the busy activity of the rest of the year and a chance to regroup, rest and come to September with fresh energy.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that Paul passed away peacefully yesterday after a long and heroic battle with cancer.  
 
Paul was a key leader and person of influence here at Ascension over many years. He served twice as | read more including 4 comments

Stephen Hance, the vicar of Ascension, will be on sabbatical and then holiday from 19 April until 31 August, for refreshment and renewal after 17 years of ordained ministry. Eleven of these years have been here at Ascension.
