Our vision statement gives expression to the things we believe God has called us as a church to be and do together. It encourages our faith and shapes our activity as we grow together under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Our vision

In the future we will be a growing church of a thousand people encountering God in worship; multiple congregations united by a passion to love God and love others.

We will proclaim Jesus Christ and life in its fulness, displaying a vibrancy, authority and warmth that draws people to Him and transforms London eternally.

We will be a light to this city

We will embrace our calling to be an evangelistic church, communicating creatively and impactfully, with every member playing their part to bring non-Christians to faith.

We will be committed to social action, serving our local area in practical ways, freely sharing the talents and resources that God has freely given us. We will bring unity among the churches of London, proclaiming with one loud and clear voice the truth of Jesus.

We will be an authentic community

We will seek to live out our God-given potential, discovering and developing our gifts, to build God's kingdom at home, at work and in the wider world.

We will be a church of small groups where people do life together, spurring one another on to grow as disciples of Jesus.

We will be a church where children and young people minister to all ages and help their families and friends come to faith.

We will be an international church, equipping people from other countries to be agents of change when they return home.

We will raise up an abundance of leaders who are nurtured and challenged to lead Ascension and released to serve the global church.

We will allow God to lead His church His way

We will prioritise prayer and seek God's direction through the Bible and prophecy.

We will expect gifts of the Spirit. We will look for the miraculous and witness healings.

We will step out in faith, regardless of the personal cost.

And only God will receive the glory and honour for all that occurs
